How to Get Me On the Ballot
How to Get Me On the Ballot
It isn’t going to be easy to get me on the ballot without the use of direct campaign funds, but it is possible. Simply Simply Click here to Download the Official Petition, print it, double sided if you can, sign it, get friends to sign it, and mail it back to me. There are detailed instructions attached to the petition when you download it, to talk you through every step so you know exactly what to do to make sure that the signatures will count. You must be a registered voter within the City and County of San Francisco to fill out this petition.
Additionally you can register, or reregister to vote by clicking here. Please mail the registration form with the petition back to me as well. This will ensure that your vote will count if you aren’t sure if you are registered or where you are registered.
For anybody who wants to volunteer to help collect more signatures, you also can Click Here to Download and Print my Unofficial Petition that anyone can sign. You do not need to me a registered voter of the City and County of San Francisco to sign it. Anybody can sign it. Because my candidacy campaign is on-going and I will be running for office for the rest of my life, there is no one who we wouldn’t want to collect there contact information and get support from. Additionally it is good to have people sign the official petition, and the unofficial one at the same time so that not only do we get their signature to help get on the ballot, but on the unofficial petition we also get their email and contact information to keep them informed about the campaign.
Thank you so much for your support.
Bellow is more information about the long term plan if you are interested in reading:
There are two main steps to getting me on the ballot for the long term.
1. For this year, as described above, between June 3rd and July 28th we need to collect 10,000 “in-lou of fee” signatures so that no money is needed to get me on the ballot for Mayor of San Francisco. (if your Rich, you can just pay $5,000 and be on the ballot automatically! is that democracy?) (Even if we could raise the money, I still think this is undemocratic and I will always insist on getting the full number of signatures or I will not be on the ballot.)
2.Additionally for the long term it is important to always be collecting pledges from everyone who will sign an official petition to get me on the ballot when the short window of time comes during an election cycle. (you can do this bellow or click here) The more pledges we have the easier it will be to get on the ballot when the time comes, as I will be running for office for the rest of my life.)
It may seem like a lot of signatures but with almost 1 million people in San Francisco, all we need to do is get a little momentum and excitement though online chatter and people will stream in with their signatures. Its ok if this takes time to build, as this kind of action doesn’t happen overnight, but it is still possible.
Remember this has to be all volunteer, grassroots effort, and it should effortlessly come, of course with hard work. If we are struggling to get the signatures then maybe it is just not the time to be on the ballot, there is always next election. Remember I’m still running as a write-in candidate, even if I can’t get enough signatures to get on the ballot.
Bellow is the form to fill out to pledge your commitment to signing my petitions when the time comes around in the future.
