I still need to do research on this issue, and get more feedback in order to lay out a feasible plan, but here are a few of my ideas off the top of my head.

1. •  Food is a right
   

2. •  Make food free and available for everyone.  Only whole healthy food, not food stamps that you can buy soda and chips with.
   

3. •  Guarantee individual farmers income at a certain level.  With good crops they get big bonus, but one bad year should never end a local farm.
   

4. •  End all subsidies to big argo farms and monocultures
   

5. •  subsidize local farms
   

6. •  support community and urban gardens in local communities.  Why not grow it were it is being eaten
   

7. •  Teach everyone to grow food, basic education.
