Climate Change
I still need to do research on this issue, and get more feedback in order to lay out a feasible plan, but here are a few of my ideas off the top of my head.
• Educate people about Global Climate Destabilization and how Global Warming isn’t the entire picture, we are also destabilizing the entire global weather systems.
• Subsidize and increase production of the new technologies we have available right now to reduce carbon emissions
• Invest in new technologies
• Create a law to set our global carbon level in PPM by a scientific panel. (how does 260 PPM sound?)
• Create law that make a net positive carbon emission illegal now, but creates a process to implement it over 50 years so that businesses can plan accordingly for the long run instead of having unforeseen costs.
• Start incorporating the true costs from the environmental economy within our own human economy. We can’t have a free ride forever.
• Register all carbon outlets and sinks. Tax and charge fees on outlets, pay carbon sinks. Literally make carbon a form of currency.
• Use cap & trade too
• Charge for natural resources extraction and pollution, pay for carbon sequestration and preservation.
• Forest Fire Regulation, create areas where fires can burn, create large scale compost programs to reduce fuel where fires haven’t burned for 100 years +
• Zero waste and no garbage. Make Landfills illegal and turn them all into recycling and composting centers. Implement law over 50 years and give corporations and companies time to evolve all their designs to account for recycling and composting to dispose of every component, not landfills. Over time increase tax for any component in any product that isn’t easily recyclable or compostable.
• Educate, give incentives, and evolve course work to focus on designing phase of products and distribution with no waste.
• Reduce and eliminate toxins. Register all toxins and tax their use
• Make sure money is being spent on scientific mediation of environments
• Keep dialogue open at local and global levels, and get the people of the world involved, not just representative governments.
